President Jokowi Inaugurates Boards’ Members of Indonesian Veteran Legion
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurated Members of Central Leadership Board and Central Advisory Board of Indonesian Veteran Legion (LVRI), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/22). The inauguration was also viewed online by LVRI members through video conference.
The inauguration was carried out based on Presidential Decree Number 44/M of 2023 on Approval of Dismissal and Appointment of Central Leadership Board and Central Advisory Board of Indonesian Veteran Legion for the Period of 2022 – 2027.
On the occasion, H.B.L. Mantiri was inaugurated as the Chairman of LVRI’s Central Leadership Board and Ito Sumardi was inaugurated as Member of LVRI’s Central Advisory Board.
“I, President of the Republic of Indonesia, officially inaugurates all of you in the Membership of Central Leadership Board and Central Advisory Board of Indonesian Veteran Legion for the Period of 2022 – 2027. I believe that you can carry out your tasks in a well manner, in accordance with your responsibilities,” President Jokowi recited during the inauguration of LVRI boards’ members.
The inauguration was concluded with President Jokowi and all invitees congratulated the inaugurated boards’ members.
After the inauguration session, Chairman of LVRI’s Central Leadership Board H.B.L Mantiri explained that the main task of LVRI is to inherit the soul, the spirit, and the values of 1945 to the following generations. Mantiri also expressed his gratefulness on the inauguration of LVRI membership which was carried out consecutively with the inauguration of Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) Commander who is deemed as one of the successors of the veterans’ battle.
“We are grateful that together we unite the synergy, inseparable, between the veterans and the active TNI members,” Mantiri mentioned.
Attending the inauguration were Heads of State Institutions, some Ministers of Indonesia Onward Cabinet, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and TNI Chiefs of Staff. (KS/UN)(AW/LW)
