President Jokowi Inaugurates Head and Advisors of UKP PIP

President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo inaugurated 9 (nine) national figures as the Advisors of Presidential Working Unit for the Implementation of the State Ideology Pancasila (UKP PIP) at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/6) morning.

The nine national figures who were inaugurated under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia dated 31 May 2017 Number 31M of 2017 are: 1. Megawati Soekarnoputri; 2. Try Sutrisno; 3. M. Mahfud MD; 4. Ahmad Syafii Maarif; 5. Ma’ruf Amin; 6. Said Aqil Siradj; 7. Andreas Anangguru Yewangoe; 8. Wisnu Bawa Tenaya; and 9. Sudhamek.

On that occasion, the President also inaugurated Yudi Latief as the Head of the Presidential Working Unit for the Implementation of the State Ideology Pancasila. The inauguration ceremony was started by reverberating the national anthem Indonesia Raya. Afterwards, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia dated 31 May 2017 Number 31M of 2017 on Appointment of Advisors and Head of PresidentialWorking Unit for the Implementation of the State Ideology Pancasila was read and the Advisors as well as the Head took their oath of office.

Also attending the event were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Setya Novanto, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council Oesman Sapta, Head of Supreme Court M. Hatta Ali, Head of Constitutional Court Arief Hidayat, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, and Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya. (FID/RAH/ES) (MMB/YM/Naster)
