President Jokowi Inaugurates Ignasius Jonan and Archandra Tahar

President Joko Jokowi Widodo inaugurated former Minister of Transportation Ignasius Jonan as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources at the State Palace, on Friday (14/10) afternoon. The newly appointed Minister, who replaced Luhut B. Pandjaitan, will serve for the remaining 2014-2019 service period.
The inauguration of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources was conducted based on the Presidential Decree Number 114P of 2016 on the Appointment of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Working Cabinet for the remaining 2014-2019 service period, stipulated in Jakarta, 14 October 2016. The swearing-in and the inauguration were conducted before the President.
On that occasion, Achandra Tahar was inaugurated as Deputy Minister of Energy and Miniseral Resources based on the Presidential Decree Number 115P of 2016 on the Appointment of Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on 14 October 2016.
The President was accompanied by a number of ministers/high-ranking officials on that inauguration, such as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, dan Security Affairs Wiranto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Commander of Indonesian National Defence Forces Gen.
