President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (05/02) inaugurated the implementation of the Presidential Instruction of the Republic of Indonesia (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 on the Acceleration of the Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity or Regional Road Inpres (IJD) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province.

The President expressed hope that this infrastructure will boost logistics mobility and connectivity to productive areas in NTB.

“We hope that this road will improve logistics speed. Roads leading to productive areas, whether they are agricultural or plantation areas, can all be supported by good roads,” he said.

The President mentioned that last year, five road segments in four regencies in NTB were built and repaired, namely in West Lombok, West Sumbawa, Sumbawa, and Bima.

“The total length is 40.6 kilometers, and it cost Rp211 billion, not a small amount of money, not a small budget,” he added.
