President Jokowi Inaugurates New Head of LKPP

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (10/10) at the State Palace, Jakarta, inaugurated Hendrar Prihadi as Head of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) for the term of 2022-2027.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 125/TPA of 2022 on the Appointment of Main High Leadership Position in the National Public Procurement Agency, which was stipulated on October 10, 2022.

“Mr. Hendrar Prihadi is appointed as Head of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) as of the time of the inauguration,” read an excerpt of Presidential Decree.

After Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Administrative Affairs Farid Utomo recited the Presidential Decree, the  new Head of LKPP took oath before the President.

“In the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will be faithful to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will enforce the laws and regulations as truthful as possible for the sake of my devotion to the nation and the state. That in fulfilling my duties, I will uphold the work ethics in the best possible way with a full sense of responsibility. I will maintain my integrity, avoid authority abuse and despicable acts,” the President guided Hendrar Prihadi taking the oath.

For the record, Hendrar was appointed by the President to replace the previous Head of LKKP Abdullah Azwar Anas, who was appointed as new Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform.

Hendrar Prihadi was Mayor of Semarang for two terms. He had been in office since February 17, 2016. Previously, Hendrar also served as Mayor of Semarang for the 2013-2015 period and Deputy Mayor for the 2010-2013 period. In addition, he also served as member of Central Java Legislative Council (DPRD) for the 2009-2014 period. (RIF/MMB)
