President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (06/04) inaugurated Sepaku Semoi dam in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province that will supply potable water for the Nusantara Capital (IKN) and Balikpapan city areas.
“Alhamdulillah, this afternoon I inaugurate Sepaku Semoi dam, which construction began in 2020 and completes in 2024,” President Jokowi said.
According to the President, the dam has a capacity of 16 million cubic meters and inundation area of 322 hectares. This dam was constructed at a cost of Rp836 billion.
