After inaugurating Nazir Foead as the Head of the Peatland Restoration Agency (BRG), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurated the boards of the National Commitee for the Economy and Industry (KEIN), at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/1) morning.

The inauguration of the boards of KEIN which was performed based on a letter of the Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 8 of 2016, is held in an official state ceremony and accompanied by marching band of Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres).

The National Commitee for the Economy and Industry (KEIN) is under Nazir Foead leadership, a businessman and also a politician of National Mandate Party (PAN). While the Deputy is Arif Budimanta, a politician of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), and the secretary is Putri Wardani.

As for the members names are; Hendri Saparini, Hariyadi Sukamdani, Eddy Sariatmadja, Sudhamek, Jhonny Darmawan, Benny Soetrisno, Mohamad Fadhil Hasan, Benny Pasaribu, Sonny Budi Harsono, Aries Muftie, Muhammad Syafii Antonio, M. Najikh, Andri BS Sudibyo, Zulnahar Usman, Irfan Wahid, Donny Oskaria, and Sugiarto Alim.

Attending the event were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Presidential Chief of Staffs Teten Masduki, Minister of Industry Saleh Husin, and Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) Commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo.
