President Jokowi Inaugurates Two Cabinet Ministers, Research Agency Head

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (28/04) at the State Palace, Jakarta, inaugurated Bahlil Lahadalia as Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Nadiem Anwar Makarim as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 72/P of 2021, issued on 28 April 2021 in Jakarta, on the Establishment and Amendment to Ministries and the Appointment of several Government Ministers for the term of 2019-2024.

In the meantime, President Jokowi also appointed Laksana Tri Handoko as Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The previous Head of the BRIN was Bambang Brodjonegoro.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 19/M/2021, issued on 28 April 2021 in Jakarta, on the Appointment of Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency.

After the reading of the Presidential Decree, an oath of office was taken before President Jokowi.

Accompanying the President during the event were Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung Wibowo. (FID/AIT/SM) (RI/MMB)
