During his working visit to East Nusa Tenggara province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (10/02) inspected health facilities at the Kefamenanu regional general hospital of North Timor Tengah regency.

“We need to increase the capacity of the hospital and we have not intervened in its health equipment (procurement) for a long time. However, I have told the President Director (of the hospital) to prepare the rooms first,” President Jokowi said.

The President also ordered Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin to expand health facilities there since the hospital receives 60-70 patients per day.

“In the future, we will send the equipment for CT scan, catheterization laboratory, and mammogram to the hospital so that everything will be better. I have also told the Minister of Health to add more beds,” he remarked. (ECH/ABD) (GWH/LW)
