President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (12/04) arrived at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara province for a working visit.

Upon his arrival at 04:30 p.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA), President Jokowi was welcomed by Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Ayodhia Kalake and immediately headed to the state-owned logistics company Bulog Batu Cermin warehouse to check the availability of rice reserves and distribute food assistance to beneficiary families.

According to President Jokowi, the Government has been distributing food assistance since April this year.

“The assistance will be distributed again in January, February, March next year,” the President said, adding that the Government will also distribute El Nino assistance to the beneficiaries in November and December this year amounting to Rp400,000.

President Jokowi also encouraged the people who need the assistance but have not yet registered in the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) to register themselves so they can receive related assistance from the Government.

“You may register yourselves at respective community unit (RW)/neighborhood unit (RT) apparatus or sub-district/village office,” the President remarked. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/RAS/MUR)
