President Jokowi Inspects COVID-19 Vaccination Drive for Students in Cirebon Regency

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (31/8) inspected COVID-19 vaccination drive for students held at SMAN 1 Beber, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province.

The President visited SMAN 1 Beber after inspecting door-to-door vaccination in Pengampaan Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City.

A total of 2,000 students participated in the vaccination drive, comprising of 773 students from SMAN 1 Beber, 917 students from SMPN 1 Beber, and 310 students from Islamic Boarding School Al Islam.

“I just inspected the vaccination drive organized by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in collaboration with West Java Provincial Government and Cirebon Regency Government with a target of 2,000 students and santri (students of Islamic boarding schools) that has been running well,” the President said.

On that occasion, he expressed hope that the vaccination drive can provide protection in preparation for face-to-face learning which planned to take place in early September.

“We hope the vaccination will protect the students and santri in preparation for face-to-face learning, which insyaallah will start in early September or next week, right Mr. Governor?” the President said. (FID/UN) (RIF/MMB)
