President Jokowi Inspects COVID-19 Vaccination in Palu

As part of his working visit in Central Sulawesi province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inspected COVID-19 vaccination at the compound of Mutiara SIS Al Jufrie Airport in the provincial capital of Palu.

Upon his arrival on Friday (02/25) at 07.45 Western Indonesian Time, the President oversaw the administering of the first, second, and booster jabs to 685 people including children and elderly. The vaccination was also held simultaneously in ten other locations in the city.

In a video conference with participants of vaccination program in those ten other locations, the President expressed appreciation to the people of Central Sulawesi for their high enthusiasm to get their jabs.

“We must be grateful that the people have higher spirit to receive their vaccines compared to other cities and provinces,” he said, while reminding everyone to continue adhering to the health protocols even after being fully vaccinated.

The Head of State also ordered his rank to speed up COVID-19 vaccination drive to protect the people from COVID-19, particularly the Omicron variant. (Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RAS/MUR)
