President Jokowi Inspects COVID-19 Vaccination in Ponorogo

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (09/07) inspected COVID-19 vaccination for 1,000 students at vocational high school (SMK) PGRI 2 Ponorogo.

The President also inspected vaccination for students at the K.H Syamsuddin Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo. Simultaneous vaccination measures were also carried out at Islamic boarding schools, churches and houses of worship in 34 provinces.

“This afternoon we have carried out simultaneous vaccination in Islamic boarding schools, churches, and houses of worship. I would like to extend my appreciation for the support from the TNI (Indonesian National Defense Forces) and the Polri (Indonesian National Police),” he said.

The President expressed hope that the acceleration of vaccination in several regions can reduce the spread of COVID-19. He also appealed to the public to maintain self-discipline in observing health protocols after getting vaccinated.

“I hope the speed of vaccination measures that we take can reduce and stop the spread of delta variant of COVID-19,” the President said. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RI/MMB)
