President Jokowi Inspects Hospital Services in Bandung
During his working visit to West Java Province, President Joko Jokowi Widodo observed services for the Social Security Provider Body for the Health (BPJS Kesehatan) and Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) patients at General Teaching Hospital (RSUP) Dr. Hasan Sadikin, in Bandung, on Thursday (22/2) afternoon.
After observing the Hospital in person, the President made his statement that 56 percent of 976 rooms in the hospital are third class rooms. KIS and BPJS patients are about 89.9 percent. It is a very high number of patients, not to mention 6 percent apart of it is Regional Health Security (Jamkesda) patients, the Head of State said.
The Head of State also mentioned that third class rooms at the time of his inspection were full of patients. It means almost 100 percent of patient in this hospital are BPJS and KIS patients, the President conveyed.
For third class rooms services, the President did not get complain about it from the patients, so do the queue lines. It did not take long to queue anymore and it follows the procedure. When I asked about it, there is no complain because many lockets are provided, the President said.
The President announced that the hospital observation is important, bearing in mind of people said to the President to hear and see public services in every hospital in person. It is all about control and supervision management. Along with my working visit to Bandung, I also check here, the President uttered.
At the occasion, the President also reviewed health facilities at the Hospital, among others National Health Security Service Control Center (P3JKN) room, fraud control room, outpatient registration lockets, and Kemuning inpatient treatment room in 3rd floor.
During his inspection, the President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Members of Presidential Advisory Council Agum Gumelar, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, and Director of RSUP Hasan Sadikin dr.
