In a series of working visits to the Special Region of Yogyakarta, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (10/09) visited Islamic boarding school Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in Bantul Regency.

During the visit, the President visited an area called “Cadre City” in which a number of facilities and infrastructure have been completed to support teaching and learning activities at the boarding school.

According to the Director of the boarding school Aly Aulia, Cadre City has three buildings that are ready to be inaugurated and are functional, namely campus building, flat, and mosque. The three buildings are expected to support the boarding school’s mission to produce high-quality future cadres.

“Hopefully, our dream to make this area a Cadre City in order to carry out the mission of Islamic organization Muhammadiyah, the nation, and the state to educate future cadres can run well and smoothly,” said Aly Aulia.

After inspection of the area, the President inaugurated the three buildings by signing their inscriptions. (Presidential Secretariat/UN) (FI/MUR)
