President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (04/08) inspected the traffic flow of mudik (annual exodus ahead of Eid al-Fitr) at Pasar Senen train station – the second largest train station in Central Jakarta.

“I noted that everything was neatly organized; even inside the train, it looked neat and good; it was not too crowded and everything was organized. Everything is good at Pasar Senen station,” President Jokowi said after the inspection.

Nevertheless, the Head of State also pointed out that several regions still require more focused handling, especially regarding the flow of motorcycles in Cindawan, Merak.

“I was told that Ministry of Transportation has found the solution to all congestion,” the President said, adding that the level of traffic accidents and the traffic congestion of travelers at airports, bus terminals, and train stations this year were lower than those of the previous years.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also underscored the importance of good management in dealing with minor problems that may arise.

“I think neat planning will lead to good implementation. I think this is very well organized,” the President remarked. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/UN) (GWH/EP)
