President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inspected several facilities to support the G20 Summit in Bali.

The President expressed hope that the summit will run smoothly thanks to the preparations that have been made. “I see that everything is almost ready, alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, and I hope that the summit will also run well and smoothly,” said the President, Thursday (10/06), in a statement after visiting Ngurah Rai Forest Park in Denpasar, Bali province.

After inspecting the road infrastructure, the President also inspected the Forest Park, which will be used as one of the summit’s venues.

“I was really surprised when I came here. [The park] has been prepared, changed. And, there is also a nursery with 6 million seeds,” the President said.

The President also stated that the Forest Park proves Indonesia’s commitment on environment.

“In my opinion, this will be the most important place, especially in terms of our concerns for the environment and reforestation. Be it mangroves or tropical rainforests, the head of states we invite here can see them firsthand,” he remarked. (Press, Media, and Information Bureau of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (YC/FI)
