President Jokowi Inspects Papua PON Wushu Arena

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inspected the wushu sports arena of the PON XX Papua Merauke cluster, at Head Sai Sports Arena, Sunday (03/10).

The President also took the time to watch the final match of some categories of women’s sanda competition.

The first match was the women’s sanda 52kg between Amanda L.A Loupatty from Jakarta and Rosalia Simanjuntak from North Sumatra. The match, which took place in three rounds, was won by Rosalia.

The next match was the women’s sanda 56kg between Melisa Try Andani from Jambi and Diandra A. Pieter from Jakarta. Melisa managed to defeat Diandra through a two-round match.

The President also watched the women’s sanda 60kg between the host athlete, Moria Monalu, and Thania Kusumaningtyas from Central Java. Moria managed to win the fighting which lasted two rounds.

Previously, during a working visit to Merauke regency, President Jokowi inaugurated the Mopah Airport’s new terminal and inaugurated the Sota Integrated Cross Border Post (PLBN) and inspected the Sota Market. (FID/UN) (EST/MMB)
