President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Saturday (09/23) inspected construction progress of regional roads based on Presidential Instructions in Agro Mulyo village, Sepaku district, North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

“The road will provide support to the New Capital of Nusantara (IKN) as a production and tourist attractions route since there is Tapak Raja stone cave at the end of the road,” President Jokowi said.

According to the President, the road will be constructed by using a total national budget of Rp14.6 trillion for 2,800 kilometers of road.

“The construction here is targeted to be completed by the end of this year. The roads are needed since they provide economic effects as production route for palm oil, rubber, and so on,” he remarked.

For the record, the road that provide access to Tapak Raja stone cave costs Rp34.09 billion with a road length of 4.8 kilometers in first segment and Rp33.27 billion with a road length of 3.5 kilometers in the second segment. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/EP)
