President Joko “Jokowi “ Widodo inspected Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road project at the Interchange of Section 4 of the project (Indrapuri-Blang Bintang) on Friday (21/2) at approximately 18:30 Western Indonesian Time.

“Alhamdulillah, the land acquisition process for toll road from Banda Aceh to Sigli, spanning 74 kilometers, is conducted very well,” the President said.

The President, quoted Managing Director of state construction company Hutama Karya, Bintang Perbowo, said that the land acquisition has been completed.

“With the investment value of approximately Rp12 trillion, the project is expected to be completed soon, because the land acquisition is already completed,” President Jokowi said.

The President went on to say that the land acquisition was supported by all relevant parties, including Governor, Regents, state construction company Hutama Karya and local offices of the National Land Agency (BPN).

President Jokowi further said that based on the explanation from director of Hutama Karya, Section 4 of the toll road will be ready to operate on the upcoming holiday session of Eid al-Fitr.

Also present during the visit were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, and Acting Governor of Aceh, Nova Iriansyah. (IAT/EN)
