In a series of working visits to South Sulawesi, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (07/04) inspected Sinjai regency regional general hospital to ensure the facilities and readiness of human capital at the hospital.

“I noted that the hospital is clean, well-organized, and there are more than enough medical specialists,” President Jokowi said.

According to the President, the availability of medical specialists in each regional general hospital across the country is mostly low. Nevertheless, such a problem did not happen at Sinjai regency. “I was told by the hospital’s President Director, there are 2 heart surgeon specialists and 23 other medical specialists. This is convenient,” he added.

The Government, the President continued, has also sent medical equipment, such as CT-scans and X-rays, to the hospital.

“The Government will also send catheterization laboratory and mammogram equipment to the Sinjai regional general hospital in stages, (starting from) this year, next year and the year after since we also have to check the readiness of the rooms,” President Jokowi remarked.
