President Jokowi Installs S.Sulawesi Governor, IKN’s Chair of Authority
President Jokowi inaugurates Governor of South Sulawesi and IKN’s Head of Authority, Thursday (03/10).
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (03/10) inaugurated Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as Governor of South Sulawesi province for the remaining term of office of 2018-2023 and Bambang Susantono as Chairperson of the Authority of the capital of Nusantara (IKN) and Dhony Rahajoe as the Vice Chairperson.
The inauguration of Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as the Governor of South Sulawesi are based on Presidential Decree Number 25/P of 2022 on the Ratification of the Dismissal of the Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi for the 2018-2023 term and the Ratification of the Appointment of the Governor of South Sulawesi for the remaining term of office of 2018-2023 term set by President Jokowi in Jakarta on March 4, 2022.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe as Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the IKN Authority are based on Presidential Decree No. 9/M of 2022 on Appointment of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Authority of the Nusantara Capital which was set by President Jokowi in Jakarta on March 9, 2022.
“By the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully fulfil my obligations as governor in the best possible way and in the fairest way possible, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and uphold all laws and regulations as well as possible and serve the people and the nation,” said Andi during the oath-taking ceremony.
Andi, who previously served as Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi, replaced the previous Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah.
The event continued with the inauguration of Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority.
“By the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully fulfil my obligations as Head of Authority of IKN in the best possible way and in the fairest way possible, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and uphold all laws and regulations as well as as possible and serve the people and the nation,” said Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe.
