President Jokowi Instructs PUPR Minister to Rebuild Public Facilities

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo visited Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province on Tuesday (8/14). The President and his entourage reviewed the local hospital (RSUD) which located closely to the Presidential tent.

After reviewing Tanjung Hospital, President Jokowi and his entourage continued their journey to the Pamenang Police Station, North Lombok.

When passed through Tanjung Market, the President stopped by and reviewed the market building that was damaged by earthquake. President Jokowi immediately instructed Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono to rebuild the market.

“We will begin the construction this week,” said Basuki.

Accompanying President Jokowi on the occasion were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Indonesia National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian, Commander of Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Head of National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) Willem Rampangilei, and Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Muhammad Zainul Majdi.
