President Jokowi Invites Public Figures to Promote 2018 Asian Games

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (5/6) at the State Palace, Jakarta, met with artists, public figures, creative professionals, athletes, bloggers and vloggers.

On the occasion, President Jokowi said that Indonesia will host the 2018 Asian Games in the near future, during which the athletes from 49 Asian countries will compete.

President Jokowi explained that the Asian Games is a very big event. However, according to the President, the people have not felt the vibe. Therefore, the President invited the public figures to spread the vibe of the Asian Games.

President Jokowi further said that the main purpose of the meeting was to promote Asian Games and he asked public figures to promote the multi-sport event in their own way.

The meeting was attended by many public figures including Iwa K, Once, Irfan Hakim, Gading Marten, Indra Bekti, Andre Hehanusa, Marcel, Susi Susanti, Alan Budi Kusuma, Tontowi Yahya, and Liliyana Natsir.

Accompanying the President during the meeting were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Head of Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) Triawan Munaf, and Coordinator of Special Staff to the President Teten Masduki.
