As part of his working visit to Central Java province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (03/10) joined local farmers in Kesongo, Blora regency to plant trees.

Accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, the President planted a mango tree.

The tree planting was carried out after President Jokowi distributed land certificates, Social Forest Decree, and Agrarian Reform Object Decrees (TORA) to the residents.

One of the local farmers Sudarmini expressed happiness when seeing President Jokowi and the Ministers in person.

Sudarmini also expressed hope that price of fertilizer would be determined according to the Government’s standard so the prices of the harvested commodities can cover the fertilizer’ expenses.

“I hope fertilizer price can be set according to (the Government’s) standard,” Sudarmini said.

Blora regency, which is located in the northeastern part of Central Java province, is known as an area that produces rice and corn. The regency is also one of the main producers of high-quality teak wood in Java. (AIT/UN) (GWH/EP)
