President Jokowi Kicks Off C. Kalimantan Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (9/7) arrived in Central Kalimantan province to conduct a series of working visits.

Upon arrival at Tjilik Riwut Airport in Palangka Raya City, President Jokowi was scheduled to depart for Kapuas Regency on the Indonesian Air Force’s Super Puma helicopter to inspect the Primary irrigation channel at Technical Services Unit (UPT) A.5 in Bentuk Jaya Village, Dadahup Sub-District, Kapuas Regency.

The President and his entourage headed to another Food Estate location in Belanti Siam, Pandih Batu District, Pulang Pisau Regency to inspect the labour-intensive irrigation improvement acceleration program (P3TGAI).

Afterwards, the President was also scheduled to return to Tjilik Riwut Airport to inspect the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Command Post in the Jayang Tingang Hall, Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office Compound.

Then, the President was slated to fly back to Tjilik Riwut Airport in Palangka Raya City to leave for Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, South Jakarta.

Also accompanying the President during the event were, among others, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko. (BPMI / EN)
