President Jokowi Kicks Off Central Java Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana on Friday (11/06) departed for Central Java province for a working visit.

The President and the entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at 07.00 Western Indonesian Time, using the ATR 72-600 special plane.

“This morning, the President will visit Purbalingga to inspect the latest progress of Sudirman Airport construction. The President and the entourage will use the ATR 72-600 plane,” Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said.

For the record, the General Sudirman Airport started its operation on 1 June 2021, with the first commercial flight on 3 June 2021.

The President is also slated to visit passenger terminal in Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, to inspect the implementation of mass vaccination for passengers, port workers, communities, and persons with disabilities.

During the working visit, the President is also scheduled to meet with regional governments of Central Java province, delivering his directives regarding the handling of COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will take place at the Central Java Governor’s Office.

In addition, President Jokowi will also inspect the construction of Semarang-Demak toll road in Sidogemah area, Sayung District, Demak Regency. (BPMI SETPRES/UN)
