President Jokowi Kicks Off Culinary Center Construction in Nusantara Capital

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (06/05) attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a culinary center developed by PT Arena Graha Andalan in the Nusantara Capital (IKN), North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

“Activities in the capital of the archipelago are increasing very rapidly. We need accommodation facilities, transportation facilities, and other facilities.” President Jokowi said.

The President also praised Arena Group for developing Arena Botanica, as part of the measures to develop accommodation facilities in the IKN.

The President also highlighted the need for culinary centers in the IKN area. He explained that finding a decent place to eat is a challenge for people who live and work in the IKN.

President Jokowi also expressed hope that the construction of Arena Botanica, which will integrate five well-known restaurant brands, can overcome the problem.

“Let me extend my appreciation to PT Arena Graha for integrating five well-known restaurant brands in one area. I also saw that the restaurant design is very good. The restaurants Seribu Rasa, Penang Bistro, Greyhound Cafe, Maison Tatsuya, and Yakiniku can be opened soon,” President Jokowi said.

The President further said that the development of the project should be accelerated to meet the needs of the residents of the IKN.

“With the construction of Arena Botanica, the facilities at IKN will be more complete so that people who live and work at the IKN can enjoy delicious culinary delight at comfortable places,” the President remarked. (FID/DNS) (RI/MMB)
