President Jokowi Kicks Off North Kalimantan Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Jokowi, Tuesday (02/28) arrived at Anang Busra Air Force Base, Tarakan, North Kalimantan province for a working visit at around 11.00 a.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA).

Upon arrival, President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana were welcomed by Governor of North Kalimantan Zainal Arifin Paliwang and spouse, Military Commander (Pangdam) of IV/Mulawarman Tri Budi Utomo and spouse, North Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Zainal Arifan and spouse, Commander of Anang Busra Army Military Air Base (Danlanud) Lieutenant Colonel and spouse, also Commander of XII Tarakan Admiral Deni Herman Army Main Navy Base (Danlantamal) and spouse.

On that occasion, President Jokowi is slated to inspect Kalimantan Industrial Park Indonesia (KIPI) area in Bulungan regency.

Furthermore, the President and Ibu Iriana will also visit Tenguyun Traditional Market to hand over working capital assistance and direct cash assistance to market traders.

Afterwards, the President and Ibu Iriana will head to Tanjung Pasir Fishing Village, Tarakan City to meet and talk with representatives of fishermen and farmers around the area.

President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana are scheduled to stay in a hotel to continue the agenda in the next day.

Previously, the President and Ibu Iriana took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 07.00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on board Presidential Indonesia-1 to North Kalimantan province. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (HS/MUR)
