President Jokowi Kicks Off South Sulawesi Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is slated to inaugurate several infrastructure projects and inspect mass vaccinations during his working visit to South Sulawesi province, Thursday (18/03).

The Indonesian-1 Presidential Aircraft took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta at around 06.30 Western Indonesian Time.

After landing at the Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base, Maros Regency, the President and his entourage will continue the trip using a special ATR 72-600 plane to Toraja Airport, Tana Toraja Regency.

Upon arrival at Toraja Airport, the President will immediately inspect the airport terminal facilities. The President is slated to inaugurate Toraja Airport as well as Pantar Airport by signing two inscriptions.

The President is then scheduled to visit Ge’tengan Community Health Center in Rante Kalua Village, Mengkendek District, Tana Toraja Regency to inspect mass vaccination. Afterwards, President Jokowi will inspect another mass vaccination at Dalton Hotel, Makassar.

President Jokowi will also inaugurate Nipa-Nipa water reservoir in Maros Regency before returning to Jakarta in the afternoon. (BPMI/UN) (RI/MUR)
