President Jokowi Kicks Off Sulawesi Working Visit

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (09/26) headed to Southeast Sulawesi province for a working visit.

Using a Boeing 737-400 of the Indonesian Air Force, the President and his entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, at around 12.00 Western Indonesia Time.

The President and his entourage had a flight for approximately 2 hours 40 minutes and landed at Haluoleo International Airport, South Konawe regency. After that, the President headed to Betoambari Airport, Baubau city.

Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said that after leaving Baubau city, President Jokowi is scheduled to continue his working visit to Ternate city, North Maluku province.

Heru said that during the working visit, the President will meet with the public and distribute cash assistance and other social assistance.

After a 40-minute flight using the Bae-RJ85 Presidential Aircraft from Haluoleo International Airport, South Konawe regency, Southeast Sulawesi province, the President arrived at Betoambari Airport, Baubau city, at 16.28 Central Indonesia Time.

On the way from the airport to the hotel, Baubau residents greeted the President.

“I have been waiting for the President’s arrival since 12 noon,” a resident named Kamil said.
