President Jokowi Lauds API Boarding School for Setting Good Example in Health Protocols Compliance

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has plauded learning activities at Asrama Perguruan Islam (API) Asri Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School and for its 100-percent full vaccination rate of the students and the teachers.

“I observed the activities at Syubbanul Wathon [Islamic Boarding School] be it the vocational school and junior high school. I also learned that the activities went very well because all students have been fully vaccinated. All of them, 100 percent. Teachers have also received booster shots. I think it will set as a good example for all schools and boarding schools,” the President said when visiting Asrama Perguruan Islam (API) Asri Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School, Tegalrejo, Magelang, Central Java province, Wednesday (3/30).

The Head of State also appreciated discipline of the students at observing the health protocols.

In the meantime, houseparent at the API Boarding School Yusuf Chudlori said that the school is making preparation for the holy fasting month of Ramadan to ensure that the activities can be well-implemented, while still adhering to the health protocols.

The schools, he added, is under supervision of a hospital managed by the same foundation, namely Syubbanul Wathon Hospital. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (RAS/EP)
