President Jokowi Lauds Construction of BSH Community Hub in Nusantara Capital

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/21) officiated groundbreaking of the development of BSH Community Hub in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) area, North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

The BSH Community Hub is a mixed-use community lifestyle project in which the financing is sourced from the investment of PT Karya BSH Mandiri.

“I am delighted that the first stone for this construction of BSH Community Hub, which has invested in the IKN, is laid this morning. I truly appreciate it, but I still can’t believe when Pak Haryadi said the company is a Small Medium-sized Enterprise because it has more than 40 branches,” he said.

He added that all SMEs invested in IKN will be exempted from income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and income tax article 21 in order to stimulate SMEs’ economy in IKN.

“I laud the BSH for building 3-star hotel and restaurant since there are none 3-star hotels and restaurants in this area. I think the BSH has successfully seized the opportunity,” he said.

He expressed hope that the construction of BSH Community Hub can be completed on target, before July next year. The Community Hub is expected to complement existing facilities in the IKN and can be utilized by the community.

“Hopefully in the future the BSH Community Hub will become a place for gathering and meeting which will complete the facilities at IKN for all of us,” he remarked. (TGH/SM) (RAS/MUR)
