President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inspected COVID-19 vaccination for students at Vocational High School SMKN 1 Beringin, Deli Serdang regency, North Sumatra, Thursday (16/9).

On that occasion, the President also greeted participants of vaccination drive in six other regencies/municipalities in the province through video conference.

The students told President Jokowi that they are glad to finally join limited in-person learning after getting vaccinated.

The President underscored that the Government has allowed in-person learning in regencies/municipalities implementing public activity restrictions (PPKM) Level 2 or Level 3.

“Teachers and students must get vaccinated. The bare minimum is the first dose. Nevertheless, students attending in-person learning will be limited to only 30 percent or 50 percent,” he said.

He also said that public activities including a cultural festival could be held if the people already got vaccinated. The Head of State reminded all that they must always maintain discipline in observing health protocols during the event.

“Once the curve is flattened, you may organize a festival,” he said. (PRESIDENTIAL SECRETARIAT/UN) (RAS/MUR)
