President Jokowi Leads Groundbreaking Ceremony for Green Concept Apartment in New Capital

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/21/2023) led a groundbreaking ceremony for the Pakubuwono Nusantara apartment in Indonesia’s new capital of Nusantara (IKN) in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

In his remarks, President Jokowi welcomed the idea of building an apartment with a green concept which is in line with the IKN concept.

“IKN is built with the concept of green zone, green environment, and green building, and apparently the plan to build the Pakubuwono Nusantara is really in line with the concept of Nusantara Capital City,” President Jokowi said.

The President also expressed appreciation for the design and the plan of the Pakubuwono Nusantara which is deemed excellent and can be adopted by other developers.

“It is very environmentally friendly and uses current technology to create comfort and efficiency. It also presents an advancement and innovation,” he added.

President Jokowi also opined that the Pakubuwono is a high-class apartment developer and with such reputation, the President expressed hope that the apartment can significantly contribute to the development of IKN in the future.
