President Jokowi Leads Groundbreaking Ceremony for OIKN Office Zone
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (01/17) led a groundbreaking ceremony for Authority of Nusantara Capital (OIKN) office zone construction in North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.
In his remarks, President Jokowi said that the office zone, built on 28 thousand square meters land, consists of a main building, data center building, and supporting infrastructure for 600 people at the first phase. The office zone construction, which is worth of Rp509 billion, will be a workplace for OIKN employees.
“The OIKN Office will be equipped with data center and command center, and urban gallery to provide services for the people in real time, in a faster and professional manner,” President Jokowi mentioned.
He also expressed hope that the construction of OIKN office zone can be completed immediately, so that all activities of OIKN can be more organized, centered, and optimal, and the employees can work more comfortably and productively in order to support IKN development and to create an ideal IKN.
The Groundbreaking of Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel
In the working visit to IKN, the Head of State also led a groundbreaking ceremony for Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel. It is a hotel which will have a capacity of 200 rooms, and built with investment amounting to approximately Rp300 billion.
“It will add the number of hotels operating in IKN and available hotel rooms, so it will be easy for the guests who visit IKN to find accommodation,” he explained.
President Jokowi expressed belief that the five-star hotel with Indonesian ethnic modern concept will give a significant and real contribution to IKN and the surrounding areas.
“With the latest development of IKN, the groundbreaking ceremonies conducted for various infrastructure every month, there is no reason for investors to hesitate about investing in IKN and making use of various incentives and ease of doing business offered by the Government,” President Jokowi remarked.
