President Jokowi Leads Groundbreaking Ceremony of Bina Bangsa School Nusantara

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (06/05) led the groundbreaking ceremony of Bina Bangsa School Nusantara’s construction, in the Nusantara Capital (IKN), North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province.

“Alhamdulillah, this morning we laid the first stone for the construction of Bina Bangsa School Nusantara, an international school adopting the Cambridge curriculum to enhance the education quality for our children at IKN,” President Jokowi said.

According to the President, Bina Bangsa School Nusantara will boast modern facilities, fostering interactive and innovative learning through a smart school approach. Students will be encouraged to embrace technology and engage in learning that emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

“Having Bina Bangsa School at IKN really speaks to how serious we are about offering top-notch facilities in the heart of the archipelago. It’s all about bringing in world-class educational opportunities, showing our dedication to excellence,” the President stated.

In addition to Bina Bangsa School Nusantara, seven other schools are already in the works in IKN.

With Bina Bangsa School Nusantara, he added, the Government is aiming for the school to provide world-class education, promote high-quality global learning, and offer top-notch educational choices for residents of IKN, regardless where people are from or what their background is.

“Also, I’d like to encourage Bina Bangsa School to incorporate local wisdom values, promote respect for cultural diversity, and foster unity and brotherhood. That’s the message I wanted to share on this auspicious occasion. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I hereby officially declare the groundbreaking ceremony for Bina Bangsa School Nusantara open this morning,” the President remarked. (FID/DNS) (RIF/MUR)
