President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte on the sidelines of ASEAN-EU Summit at the Europe Building, Brussels, Belgium, Wednesday (12/14).

During the meeting, President Jokowi expressed his gratitude for the presence and support of the Netherlands for the success of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.

“A difficult presidency, however it ended well. A declaration and a list of concrete cooperation were agreed and will be very useful for the world,” said President Jokowi.

He also expressed hope that the ASEAN Partnership with the European Union can be further strengthened in the future, particularly during Indonesia’s ASEAN chairmanship next year.

Several other issues raised by President Jokowi at the meeting including the Indonesia-EU CEPA negotiations, energy transition cooperation, investment cooperation, and cooperation in overcoming cross-border crime. (BPMI/UN) (EST/MMB)
