President Jokowi Meets with Farming Communities

President Jokowi, accompanied by a number of ministers, on Monday (21/12) at State Palace, Jakarta, having lunch with members of the Qoriyah Thayyibah Union of Farming Communities (SPPQT) in Salatiga

President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, accompanied by a number of ministers, on Monday (21/12) at the State Palace had lunch with 28 representatives from the Qoriyah Thayyibah Union of Farming Communities (SPPQT) in Salatiga.

Before the lunch while waiting for the President, the representatives talked with Chief of the Presidential Staff Teten Masduki.

On that occasion, President Jokowi listened to the inputs from the representatives about the use of village funds and the agricultural processed products.

It is expected that the village funds can be used for productive businesses through collective production business movements formally regulated by regional laws.

Also attending the event were Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and Minister of Villages, Minister of Villages, Underdeveloped Regions and Transmigration Marwan Jafar. (FID/JAY/ES) (Naster/EP/YM)
