President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo argued that compared with other areas, DKI Jakarta is the most common cases of land disputes. “Land disputes between society and society, between society and company, between society and the Government,” President Jokowi said when delivering Certificate of Land Use Rights of the National Strategy Programs of Greater Jakarta, at the Park and Ride Field, Jl. M.H. Thamrin, Jakarta, Sunday (8/20) morning.

President Jokowi gave an example, saying that one field has three to four certificates. As a result, there was a dispute. For example, the Jakarta Government, former West Jakarta Mayor, lost. “Just imagine. The Government alone lost,” the President said.

Even, when he was Governor of Jakarta, according to the President, the certificate of the Bersih, Manusiawi, Berwibawa (BMW) or clean, civilized, and prestigious Park in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, for a soccer stadium has not finished yet. However, President Jokowi has just delivered the BMW certificate to Jakarta Governor. “Until I am no longer the Governor, it has not finished yet. Let alone, the people?” the President asked.

To that end, President Jokowi reminded all to be more careful, as he now keeps an eye on the affairs of the certificate.

“I remind you all, everything must be prompt, everyone must be served,” the President said.

When it comes to the lack of measuring officers, the President asserted that the number of measuring officers will continue to be added. “Do you agree with me?,” the President concluded.

Also present at the event were Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Communications and Informatics Rudiantara, the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, and Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardojo.
