During his visit to Danga Warehousing Complex in Nagekeo regency, East Nusa Tenggara province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (12/05) handed over government rice reserves (CBP) to several beneficiaries.

In a dialog with the community, President Jokowi said that the particular CBP food assistance was distributed to the newly registered beneficiaries, adding that similar assistance will continue to be distributed by the Government until March 2024.

“Ladies and gentlemen, those who come here are additional recipients, not regular recipients. After December, in January, February, March, you will get it again,” he said.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also said that this month, the Government will send the El Niño assistance of Rp400,000 to the people who have not received it.

However, the Head of State noted that there are several issues to resolve, one of which is the incomplete recipient account data. Therefore, he called on Nagekeo Regent to immediately resolve this issue.

“This is a new one, right? Some are new, some are old, I’ll discuss it first. Let the Regent take care of it. It is most important that the rice for December has been received, later in January, February, and March, you will receive it again,” he said.

After distributing the rice assistance, President Jokowi headed to the rice storage warehouse to inspect and ensure the availability of rice in Nagekeo regency. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT) (FI/EP)
