President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (16/1) has visited Ministry of National Development Planning/the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) in Central Jakarta.

On the occasion, President Jokowi observed the implementation of the Integrated Digital Work (IDW) as well as various supporting facilities that could be used to increase productivity and performance of the Ministry’s civil servants in carrying out their duties of budgeting, planning, controlling, monitoring, and evaluating national development.

Upon arrival, the President and his entourage were received by Minister of National Development Planning /Head of National Development Planning Agency Suharso Monoarfa and immediately observed the co-working space as well as implementation of flexi-work in the Ministry.

In the meantime, Suharso said that IDW was specifically designed to enable Bappenas employees to play an active role as a clearinghouse program as instructed by President Jokowi, strengthen cooperation among planners, as well as to be a means of knowledge sharing and strengthening of development planning analysis so that development planning products are more qualified.

As the first ministries/agencies to implement the IDW, the Minister hopes his ministry can become a model for other government agencies. “Strive for the best,” he concluded. (MAY/HUMAS KEMENTERIAN PPN/EN)
