President Jokowi Offers Condolences for Passing of Vietnam’s President

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo expressed condolences over the passing of the eighth President of Vietnam Tr?n ??i Quang.

According to Vietnam’s official news agency, President Tr?n ??i Quang passed away on Friday (21/9), at 10.05 a.m. local time.

I am saddened by this sad news because I just met him on 11 September 2018. I was impressed by his dedication to his country and the people of Vietnam,” Jokowi said on his Instagram account @jokowi on Saturday.

For the record, during his state visit to Hanoi last week, President Jokowi was warmly greeted by President Tr?n ??i Quang. The two leaders discussed measures to boost partnership between of Indonesia and Vietnam.
