President Jokowi Officiates Regional Road Instruction in North Sulawesi

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (02/023) inaugurated Regional Road Instruction in North Sulawesi Province as one of the Government’s efforts in improving road infrastructure and interregional connectivity in the province.

In his remarks, President Jokowi said that the Government has set aside a budget of Rp183 billion allocated from the 2023 State Budget for the development and improvement of nine roads with the total length of 59 kilometers.

“In 2024, we will provide more [budget] so all roads in North Sulawesi province are up to the standard and smooth,” the President said in Bolaang Mongondow regency.

This investment, the President added, is expected not only to improve the roads’ quality, but also to boost local economy and make goods and services distribution faster in the province.

The improvement of road infrastructure is also expected to support growth of tourism sector in North Sulawesi province, President Jokowi said.

The Head of State also said that the Government would continue to allocate budget for infrastructure development in 2024 as part of the long-term commitment to improving quality of life of the locals.

For the record, the Regional Road Instruction in Bolaang Mongondow regency is planned to be a measure to revamp road infrastructure throughout North Sulawesi province.
