President Jokowi Orders Simplification of Procedures, Requirements for JHT Disbursement

Following the dynamics after the issuance of Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2022 which regulates procedure and requirements for old-age benefits (JHT) disbursement, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo ordered his administration to simplify the procedures and requirements of the disbursement.

“Mr. President continues to monitor aspirations of the workers and he understands their objections to the regulation,” said Minister of State Secretary Pratikno at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, Monday (02/21).

In this regard, the President has ordered Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah to simplify the procedures and requirements. “The President has ordered that the procedures and requirements for the JHT disbursement be simplified, be made easier so that the JHT funds can be utilized by individual workers who are currently experiencing difficult times, especially those who are facing layoffs,” Pratikno said.

According to him, the regulation pertaining to the procedures and requirements will be stated in the revised Regulation of Minister of Manpower or other regulations.

“The President also invites workers to help create a conducive situation in order to increase our competitiveness in attracting investment. This is very important in order to create more quality jobs,” he said. (SLN/UN) (FI/MMB)
