President Jokowi Pays Working Visit to East Java Province

After paying a state visit to Papua New Guinea to attend the 2018 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo accompanied by First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo headed to Surabaya to conduct a working visit in East Java Province.

The Presidential Aircraft carrying the President, First Lady, and the entourage took off from Jackson International Airport, Port Moresby, on Sunday (18/11), at 05.03 p.m. local time.

Upon arrival at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, East Java Province, at 06.55 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, President Jokowi and First Lady Ibu Iriana were welcomed by East Java Governor Soekarwo, East Java Police Chief Insp. Gen. Luki Hermawan, and Military Commander Mayor General Arif Rahman.

President Jokowi and the entourage immediately headed to Sheraton Hotel where he will stay during his working visit in Surabaya that is slated to continue until Monday (19/11).

Also accompanying President Jokowi and First Lady were Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Thomas Lembong, and Presidential Special Staff Adita Irawati.
