President Jokowi Pays Working Visit to North Sumatera Province

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Sunday (7/10) arrived in North Sumatra Province to pay a working visit.

The President and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, using the presidential plane.

Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, the President was welcomed by Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi, First Commander of Bukit Barisan Major General M. Sabrar Fadhilah, and Chief Police of North Sumatra Inspector General Agus Andrianto.

The President then headed to Maimon Palace, Medan City, to receive the customary title of the Deli Sultanate.

Later in the afternoon, the President inaugurated the opening of 2018 XXVII National Qur’an Recital Competition/Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the National MTQ Main Arena, Medan City.

The President and his entourage then headed to the hotel and will continue his agenda on Monday.

Also accompanying President Jokowi to North Sumatra were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Coordinator of Presidential Special Staff Teten Masduki. (BPMI) (STU/YM/Naster)
