President Jokowi Plays Futsal with Journalists

To celebrate National Press Day (HPN), President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo as well as the Ministers of Working Cabinet took part in a futsal match versus the journalists at Time Futsal, Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Tuesday (7/2).

Before the match started, the President said that this match aims to enhance friendship with the journalists.“I, together with the Ministers, Commander of the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI), Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), want to have good relations as well as cooperation with the media. “Therefore, this afternoon, we will have a friendly match,” the President said. “I also hope we will always have good relations and cooperation,” the President further said.

On that match, Eko Frima from Metro TV scored the first goal for the journalist’s team, while Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi scored the first goal for the President’s team.

Also accompanied the President during the friendly match were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi, Chief of Polri Gen. Tito Karnavian, Minister of Manpower Hanif Dakhiri, Commander of TNI Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo, Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi.
