President Jokowi Praises All Mandalika MotoGP Stakeholders

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo extended his appreciation to all parties who have supported the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP event.

“Let me express my gratitude, especially to the people of West Nusa Tenggara and the people of Lombok who have fully supported [the event] and all stakeholders, including organizers and all workers who have worked day and night preparing this big event,” the President said in his statement after witnessing the event on Sunday (03/20).

The President said that there were rooms for improvement so that the MotoGP could run better in the future.

“Surely, there are several things that need to be evaluated and be improved. I think this is a long-term event, and next year we will carry out improvements,” the President said.

On that occasion, the President also handed over trophies to the winners, namely Miguel Oliveira from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Fabio Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP and Johann Zarco from Pramac Ducati.

The President also handed over a souvenir to the CEO of Dorna Sports Carmelo Ezpeleta. The souvenir, named Indonesia Spice Up The World (ISUTW), contains a variety of spices from Indonesia. (TGH/AIT/UN) (RI/LW)
