President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (12/08) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, received the Summary of Audit Reports for the first semester of 2023 from Chairperson of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) Isma Yatun.

“In general, the performance of the Government is remarkable, marked by the performance of 80 out of 81 ministries/institutions—or 99 percent—received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) and one received Qualified Opinion (WDP), namely Ministry of Communication and Informatics,” BPK member Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana said.

In addition to report audits of financial, performance, and specific objectives, Nyoman said that the summary also includes audits of four national priority issues, namely strengthening economic resilience, regional development, strengthening infrastructure, strengthening the stability of political, legal, and security affairs as well as the transformation of public services, including those related to the SDGs.

The Government, Nyoman added, has also followed up on 76 percent of BPK recommendations and 47 percent of BPK recommendations related to the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

Nyoman further said that President Jokowi told the BPK to monitor the results of follow-up to the recommendations and instructed Minister of Finance as the coordinator of the follow-up to the BPK recommendations.

“So the work programs can be carried out economically, effectively and efficiently. President Jokowi noted that such action is crucial considering the situation of global uncertainty,” Nyoman remarked. (FID/UN) (GWH/LW)
